The Padway

For this project, I was asked to create an innovative solution for a potentially radical change in the world. After researching the future of the urban landscape of NYC, I have thought, designed, and develop an alternative vehicle, the Padway.
The Problem
The Padway is a hybrid urban vehicle developed and designed for the NYC of the future. Research shows that people are more and more drawn to alternative ways of moving and, New York City is subjected to change in the future due to the catastrophic results of Climate Change. Downtown areas will see the rise of the water levels, forcing those who commute there, from, or to work to change their transportation methods.
The Padway is a hybrid vehicle that, ultimately, aims at facilitating the life of those who have to move throughout the city. Thanks to its rotating wheels, users can both drive on land, like a segway, and waters.
